The juggle

Now that we are in the 20th century we have become aware that being a great Dad is worth its weight in gold.

Yes, I’m talking to you. Are you doing everything you can do? Think about it. Really think about it.

I know juggling time between kids, work, and everything else can be quite challenging, but it is possible to strike a balance with a few tips:

Establish a routine: Set up a schedule that includes time for work, play, and relaxation. Stick to it as much as possible, but also be flexible enough to accommodate unexpected events.

Involve the kids: It’s essential to include your children in your schedule, especially when it comes to vacations and fun activities. Plan family outings and encourage them to participate in household chores.

Prioritize: Determine what is most important and allocate time accordingly. Focus on completing urgent tasks first before moving on to less critical ones. Take advantage of technology. Use technology to your advantage by setting reminders, scheduling appointments, and automating certain tasks to free up time. Remember to plan ahead and get tickets, presents, and reservations far in advance. This will help ease the scheduling.

Make time for self-care: It’s easy to forget about self-care when juggling so many responsibilities, but it’s crucial to take care of yourself. Schedule time for exercise, meditation, or any other activity that helps you relax.

Delegate: Don’t be afraid to delegate tasks to others, whether it’s a co-worker, spouse, or family member. Delegating can help reduce stress and free up time to focus on other priorities.

In conclusion, juggling you time with kids, work, vacations, and everything else can be challenging, but with proper planning, prioritizing, and delegation, it’s possible to find a balance that works for you and your family. Remember to make time for self-care and involve your children in the process to create a healthy and happy family.

It’s not always easy, but with a little planning and flexibility, it’s possible.

Stop procrastinating and take action today. Plan at least one thing; kid playdate, romantic night out with your wife or girlfriend (Pro tip: make a reservation for a private booth, get tickets to a show, have the kids stay over night somewhere so you have the night to yourselves), plan a big trip, plan a little road trip, anything! Just do it.

Thank you for stepping up and I’m proud of you for making a difference.
